Cape Verde. Viriato Baptista Rodrigues – I consider myself to be a hard-working person, who goes after his goals and is always willing to help others. I come from a low-income family, I went through many difficulties, I was orphaned at the age of 18, but I never gave up on living and being someone in life, so I studied and today I am a Civil Engineer. I always wanted to start some kind of business, but I didn’t want to take a risk without knowing what I was getting myself into.
However, after a while I was invited to become a partner in a construction company and I accepted, but things didn’t go very well and I ended up withdrawing from the partnership. I never tried to find out more about financial management, but I wanted to do something about it, because I realized that I was spending a lot of money unnecessarily, and at the end of the month I didn’t know what I was spending it on.
After taking this MBS course, I began to understand better and more clearly what needs to be done to be successful, both in my personal financial management and in my future business. I can now say that I’ve learned how to take safe steps to open my business, because this course has given me a lot of confidence and self-assurance, I know exactly what to do and what not to do to be successful. I see everything more clearly and I can plan my life much better, both personally and as a family. The MBS course has inspired me to be a much better person and today I’m much more capable of helping others too.
